Jakabaring Sriwijaya Stadium will soon be renovated in preparation hosted the Asian Games in 2018. Some improvements to be made include seat repair, roof repair stands, and improved access to the stadium liaison.

Currently, Jakabaring Sriwijaya Stadium which is the home of SFC, the club pride Society of South Sumatra, only has a capacity of 23 819 seats if calculated based on the personal seat. After the repair is later, will GSJ will have 40,000 seats spectators.

In addition to increasing the number of spectator seats, the Government of South Sumatra Province will also make improvements to the Tribune Tribune North and South. In both these stands, will be given a roof after no roof that protects the audience from the heat and rain. In fact, in North Tribune also be given directly to the access road to the top of the stands.

Just additional information, in addition to beautify Jakabaring Sriwijaya Stadium in Palembang, South Sumatra provincial government also plans to build a new stadium with a capacity of 20,000 spectators and is targeted for completion by the end of 2016.
